Brand new Mattock Head and Hard Beechwood Handle Shaft, made from top quality epoxy coated heat treated drop-forged steel. Wooden handle transmits less shocks to the hands than the cheaper fibreglass plastic resin ones some suppliers offer and so more comfortable to use. The forged head features a tapered working edge at each end in opposing configuration. This ground working tool is designed to be used for manipulating soil and earth along with removing roots and other obstructions. The Mattocks head is 42cm long (16.5 inches) and weighs 2.18kg (4.8lb).
